In the continuous and the evergoing making of art in all disciplines worldwide, where does Moroccan art stand ? How did Moroccan « established » art and artists contribute to any global art movement ? What makes any art a Contribution ?

On the Young Moroccan art scene scale, as they continue to create, who holds the power to decide what is worthy of being considered someday as a contribution to the Moroccan books ?

If… WE imagine a universal book of the Arts, containing international contributions, that the Moroccan art scene is already trying to make its mark on (perhaps « still ? » through Western validation), how can young Moroccan artists even aspire to find a place there one day? If they first have to go through the already complicated process of being recognised in Morocco’s national book of Arts.

This talk topic also comes in the right time with the end of this 2024 to recap this year’s contributions in the Moroccan art scene across all disciplines.

Special mention to Abbes Saladi and Gustav Klimt, contributors of the Arts, the symbolism movement and… this poster.
