LE 18 is an independent art space and artist residency founded in 2013 in the medina of Marrakech. It operates as a shared ecosystem for production and learning, a place where artists, researchers, neighbours, and translocal collectives meet to think, make, and unlearn together.
The current version of the website presents past programmes, including exhibitions, residencies, workshops, talks, and events. It is now evolving into an archival appendix, bringing together thirteen years of research platforms, zines, and conversations, organised around some of the concepts that have shaped LE 18’s practice, including, but not limited to, water and commoning, archives and memory, the photographic trace, neighbourhood pedagogies, cineclub, and decolonial cinema.
